Herbert Vineyard is situated just 4 kilometers north of Mount Gambier's city center on Bishop Road. The vineyard boasts a picturesque setting on a sheltered north-facing slope, with dark loam soils overlaying clay and limestone. Grape Varieties

The vineyard was initially planted in 1996 with Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. In 2004, they expanded to include:

• Cabernet Franc

• Merlot

• Pinot Gris

• Additional Pinot Noir clones

Herbert Vineyard also sources Chardonnay and Pinot Gris from nearby Kongorong, and Shiraz from the Wrattonbully Wine Region.

Winemaking Approach
