The Winery and Vineyards
Fowles Wine owns and manages 300 acres of vineyards across two sites: Upton Run and Billi's. The unique terroir of the Strathbogie Ranges, characterized by ancient granite soils and elevations between 430 and 550 meters above sea level, contributes to the production of intense, elegant wines with distinct character.
The winery boasts a diverse range of plantings, including:
White varieties: Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Arneis, Vermentino, Pinot Grigio, and Chardonnay
Red varieties: Pinot Noir, Gamay, Sangiovese, Merlot, Shiraz, Mourvèdre, and Cabernet Sauvignon
Under the guidance of Chief Winemaker Lindsay Brown, Fowles Wine combines traditional winemaking techniques with modern technology to craft wines that truly reflect their cool-climate origins.
