Ellis Wines
Ellis Wines is a family-owned winery located in the Heathcote wine region of Victoria, Australia. Established in 1999 by Bryan and Joy Ellis, this winery has grown from its initial 25 acres to an impressive 129 acres, producing approximately 34 tonnes of wine annually.
Location and Terroir
The vineyard is situated in Colbinabbin, on the rich red Cambrian soil that extends along both sides of the Mt Camel range. This ancient volcanic soil, combined with the strategic north-south planting of vines, creates an ideal environment for producing high-quality grapes. The cool winds help maintain the perfect level of acidity in the fruit, contributing to the distinctive character of Ellis Wines' products.
